Okay since I don't have any "recent" pictures of Katie I guess i'll post pictures of her mom and dad. Hard to believe Matt and I have only been married a little over a year, a lot has happened! I guess when we decide what we want to do we don't dink around (Okay, he made me wait a year before getting a new car but that's a different story). In recent Brunette news I got to spend Sunday morning in the emergency room with a 103 temp and guess what people, I have Mastitis AGAIN. Yup, AGAIN. This is not an infection for the pain intolerant folk. I don't wish it on my worst enemy (Well, maybe I would). I felt horrible and still don't feel all that well today. I went in for a follow up visit to the doctor today and discussed some things leading to the confirmation of my decision to STOP pumping. Why does this have to be so hard and awful? I thought they would be great for nursing but no, no luck. I got to feel like a cow for 6 weeks, brave 2 infections, watch the clock so I didn't miss a "session", spend hours at the sink washing my pumping accessories after each use, spend over $300 on a super duty pump, spend a total of 4 days in bed due to being sick from said infections, had to hide away in a room every time I wanted to pump and the list goes on and on. I'm going to be done and I can't wait! It'll be like i'm only working part time now! What on earth will I do with all my free time? If you add up the time I spend everyday pumping I'll be getting a total of 2 hours of my day back. What on earth will I do??!!! The list of possibilities are endless...
In other Brunette related news we've made a breakthrough with the boys! Nick is now changing diapers. He has been very helpful with me being sick and it is really appreciated. He even took her in her room to put a new outfit on her and change her the other day without even being asked. (at least I don't think Matt told him to???) Andrew came home from school today and offered to do a feeding, which he's doing right now. They are really coming around and it's great. The only issue we're still having is Andrew changing diapers because she's a girl and "that's just wrong". I do believe he threatened to have a vasectomy yesterday so he never had to change diapers. I guess at 14 I wouldn't have done it either.
